Earlier this month, I sat down with Nigel Hamid from Toronto Verve for a little photo shoot through Toronto’s subway system, and a chat about film. We had it out about my experience with film (necessarily and perfunctorily summed up – I can talk a lot! Poor guy had to transcribe that mess!), my Valentine’s Day plans, and why I generally think the Oscars have warped into a celebration of Hollywood rather than a celebration of film.

Tomorrow Nigel publishes my Oscar predictions. This is the first year I’ll have actively tried to make an educated guess based on industry reactions, rather than personal taste. It’s a strange hat to wear, but I think it fits. We’ll have to wait until March 2nd to see if my estimations are correct!
