I am a Toronto-based freelance writer, copywriter, editor, social media coordinator, podcaster, and consultant.
My work has been featured in various publications internationally, including Rue Morgue Magazine, Toronto Film Scene, and Sound on Sight (now PopOptiq). I have appeared on a variety of podcasts, including the Matinee Cast, Movie Mezzanine, The Dew Over, Let’s Scare Matthew Price To Death, Time Bandits, MAMO, and See You Next Wednesday. I co-host, produce, and edit two weekly podcasts, A Frame Apart and After All: A Mary Tyler Moore Podcast, both of which are a part of the Modern Superior Podcast Network.
In 2017 I contributed to the BBC Culture’s 2017 poll of the 100 greatest comedies of all time, and was published in Spectacular Optical’s latest book “Yuletide Terror: Christmas Horror on Film and Television.”
I was the assistant film editor at Sound on Sight before its change to Pop Optic in 2015, and have worked as a freelance script editor since 2014. I was a founding board member of the Canadian Association of Online Film Critics, and served on the board for over a year, branching out into member services.
Some of my favourite films are The Age of Innocence, When Harry Met Sally, Martyrs, Pulp Fiction, and Back to the Future. I enjoy focusing on the outstanding work committed to film, and its impact on our contemporary culture, be it foreign, documentary, drama, horror, or romantic comedies.
