My name is Ariel Fisher, and I am a Toront-based editor, film critic, and writer.
My work has been featured on The Daily Blam, Gotham News, Xavier Pop, Movie Marker, Row Three, Sound on Sight, and in Rue Morgue Magazine. I have appeared on a variety of Podcasts, including Movie Mezzanine, Movie Club Podcast, Not Great Pod, Mamo Pod, The Dew Over, Let’s Scare Matthew Price To Death, and Time Bandits.
I was the assistant film editor at Sound on Sight before its change to Pop Optic in 2015, and have worked as a freelance script editor since 2014. I’m currently working on starting my own Podcast about all things film, and am beginning to branch out into more freelance writing.
Some of my favourite films are The Age of Innocence, When Harry Met Sally, Martyrs, Pulp Fiction, and Back to the Future. I enjoy focusing on the outstanding work committed to film, and its impact on our contemporary culture, be it foreign, documentary, drama, horror, or romantic comedies.
